Spain may be struggling with one of the highest unemployment rates in Europe, but that doesn’t seem to bother some local bakeries from selling a loaf of bread for €117. Yes, this is the price you have to pay if you want to buy the most expensive bread in the world.

Made with 250 mg gold dust, the luxurious 400g bread is sold in a small bakery Pan Piña Algatocin in the province of Málaga, but Arab, Russian and Chinese are among the top buyers of this gourmet baked good.

The special dough is made of whole wheat flour, spelt, dehydrated honey and gold dust with a value of €100.
