Japanese people love cats, but most of them live in small apartments and pets are not welcome in many residential buildings. The only way they can play with their furry friends is to go to the nearest cat cafe.

The popularity of the cat cafes in Japan is constantly growing and now there are about 150 cafes in the country, 39 of which in Tokyo. Customers are charged averagely about 200 yen for 10 minutes to play with cats.

Here are some images of the most popular cat cafes of Japan.
